Hi
everyone,
|
||
| The current PAP range caters for all paramotor pilot's requirements from thermal hunters to tandem flyers. Just as a reminder here is some info on the current range. The Top80 motor now in its 7th year of production is a popular choice for pilots wanting a reliable, smooth, economical and above all else (literally!) quiet machine. Well priced in the market place with easy access to reasonably priced spares and the latest improvements made to the Top80 motor, especially the new lightweight aluminium exhaust continue to keep Top80 powered machines in strong demand and are a popular choice with recreational pilots. | ||
| The Ros engines now in production with PAP for nearly two years have seen a number of modifications which have improved the robustness of the engine over some of the very early machines which had some niggly faults. Currently available as a 125cc version it proving to be a reliable robust motor for pilots who need abundant thrust for example when competition flying. This lightweight engine is ideal when flown with "Reflex style" wings as its powerful thrust allows the pilot to have a healthy climb rate, even with the wing trimmed at top speed. Only marginally heavier than the lightweight Top80 it only weighs in at around 25 to 26kg which is a excellent weight for a machine of this build quality. | ![]() |

We
now have a dedicated tandem machine, the F200. Designed specifically for
tandem flying it is of course also eminently suitable for those of us who
maybe of more portly dimensions! Able to handle a 200kg payload this is
one powerful beasty with a thrust of around 78kg. It comes as standard with
an electric start and an auto cut off if left on tickover for more than
5 minutes!(The model shown has the optional carbon propeller) It is also
ideal for use on the Passion Ailes trike, particularly if you want fly two
up. (Note that the use of trikes in the UK is not currently legal.) |

ITV have
just announced another version of their popular Dakota, the "Dakota
Sport". With more reflex than the standard Dakota it is a little
faster but still has a really good glide angle and sink rate both of which
contribute to the good fuel economy paramotors achieve when flown with
it. Below is a translation of the press release from Heniu Dyduch at ITV.
(With a little editorial input from me and best read with a French accent!) Priced competitively it is around £1995 including vat and delivery. |

| On a very sad note it was a shock to hear of the first paramotor pilot's death in the UK. Julius Gee, a young and enthusiastic paramotor pilot unfortunately crashed whilst flying aerobatics along side the UK Paramotor National Championship and died shortly after. His passion for paramotoring and zany humour will be sadly missed and my heartfelt sympathies are expressed to his family and friends. |
Fly safely, have fun.
Noel.
